That’s where you come in – whether you’re a business owner, developer, or community member in Tigard, we want to hear from you!
The focus of this project is on encouraging job growth, economic equity, and environmental sustainability through updates to our Development Code, which sets the regulations for where uses can locate and how things can be built.

Staff recently conducted an “audit” of existing Tigard policies and codes that dictate where uses are allowed and how development can happen. Alongside this audit, we analyzed the current state and future needs of the City’s employment lands, researched innovative policies and codes, and estimated the potential influence of these codes and policies on land use and employment growth.
We have written new draft land use regulations, which we are currently vetting with the local business and development community. Contact us right away if you want to review and provide feedback--there's still time to implement your suggestions!
