Through October 2021 the Engineering Division is collecting feedback on the city's Design & Construction Standards.

Purpose

The Standards help to keep people and property safe by setting minimum standards for the design and construction of public infrastructure. The Standards also regulate the design and construction of private transportation and utility improvements which connect to or impact our city infrastructure. This ensures infrastructure built in the city is safe and built to last.

While the information in the Standards is most relevant to developers and engineers, there are some sections that are applicable to home and land owners in Tigard. These include:

  • Driveway renovation
  • Drainage
  • Erosion control
  • Sidewalk maintenance and replacement
