What’s your ‘aha’ moment when you felt part of the community?

So, I don’t live in Tigard, but am an employee of Tigard – I guess my “aha” moment was when I had facilitated my second Fireside Chat with Former Mayor Cook, and the regular attendees had already learned my name and welcomed me back by name - and then later on, when the Mayor was answering questions about current transportation issues facing Tigard and I was familiar with his responses. I thought to myself..”hey, I know this!”

Mayor Snider is committed to “getting out of city hall and into your neighborhood.” What are neighborhood or community events where you’d like to see the City of Tigard represented?

So, while I don’t live in a Tigard neighborhood, I’m familiar with the ice cream socials the city use to do in neighborhoods when I first started here. It was a really cool idea and I thought to myself at the time – why aren’t other communities doing this? I think it would be a great idea for the Mayor and/or City Councilors to do this a couple times throughout the spring/summer.
