What are you looking at in the sensitive lands review? If there is risk of environmental/habitat damage does this mean the project should not be approved? Will the review be available to the public? PS thank you for response to my previous question, forgot to ask this also.
Linda asked over 3 years agoSensitive Lands Review: The City will apply the standards and criteria provided in Chapter 18.510 of the Tigard Development Code when reviewing an application for a sensitive lands review.
Yes, the application and decision are available to view by the public. Once the application is submitted information, including the planner assigned, will be available in Tigard Active Permits.

It sounds like a good idea to have turf fields available for our younger kids (high school fields have it) since it can rain so much in the spring. I would think that would give kids more opportunity to play.

Comment: Tigard’s kids need places to play outdoors. There’s a limitation due to number of available fields and weather. Synthetic turf increases—dramatically—the number of usable hours of these two fields and enables our kids to spend less time in front of screens and more time actively playing outside. Thank you!

It is great to see the City continue to create and update parks and facilities that will allow year round use. The need to continue to create and improve these outdoor spaces has become even more necessary with the current pandemic. Thank you for getting us outdoors and moving.

I appreciate this plan. It will make the fields usable through much of the year, which will benefit ball players of all ages in Tigard.
