The Transportation System Plan (TSP) is a roadmap for investments in our community’s shared transportation system; one that serves all road users.
We want to know how Tigard’s transportation system can help get you where you need to go, whether walking, bicycling, riding transit or driving. We love our community and we want to maintain and enhance our quality of life over the long haul.
This update will be guided by community input and will build off Tigard’s Strategic Plan and Complete Streets policy, each aimed at supporting equitable access for road users of all ages and abilities. We want to hear from you!

There are a number of factors that help transportation planners anticipate future travel needs of the community. This exercise lets you make your own predictions about future travel in Tigard based on the impacts of COVID-19 and the related economic uncertainty.

October – November 2020:
Transportation System Plan Update is currently at this stage
Identify community needs/priorities and how the transportation system update can solve existing problems. Ensure the existing conditions and deficiencies of the Tigard transportation system are documented.
December 2020 - April 2021:
this is an upcoming stage for Transportation System Plan Update
The project team will work with feedback provided by the community to set goals and objectives, analyze future conditions, and create solutions and strategies.
May 2021:
this is an upcoming stage for Transportation System Plan Update
Prioritize types of projects for future funding based on goals set by the community. Develop a Financial Plan that is consistent with City revenue projections.
June - August 2021:
this is an upcoming stage for Transportation System Plan Update
With input from the community the Transportation System Plan will be updated to reflect the community’s goals for the future of transportation in Tigard. The Plan will guide investments for the next ten years and capitalize on opportunities that arise from private development, grants, and Capital Improvement Project funds.
